LIVING ROOM

The client has an unusually shaped living room in a condo, with the fireplace in an angled corner, a door to the terrace on the window wall, and a half wall. The client had even paid extra for a beautiful wood mantel, which was barely noticeable.

The room's focus was being fought over by the TV and the fireplace until Judy switched around the furnishings: placing the TV on the partial wall the sofa was on, and angling the sofa to face the fireplace and allow traffic to pass behind it to the patio, which also balances the window wall by breaking up the room differently. The TV is able to be viewed from either the easy chair or by lying on the sofa. Voilà!
